Anahita Golf course - hole number 4

22–29 November 2026 | 7 Nights | Long Beach Mauritius | From USD 2,300 per person sharing

What if your next golf holiday didn’t just take you somewhere beautiful, but actually helped you become a better golfer?

This November, Island Golf Escapes is bringing together a select group of golfers for a very different kind of Mauritius golf holiday.

From 22 to 29 November 2026, join Zambian professional golfer Sydney Wemba for seven nights on the east coast of Mauritius, combining morning golf clinics, time on the course and the opportunity to experience two exceptional Mauritius golf courses: Île aux Cerfs Golf Club and Anahita Golf Club.

You’ll stay at the 5-star Long Beach Mauritius, with breakfast and dinner included, while Island Golf Escapes takes care of the scheduled golf transfers, green fees and Mauritius airport transfers.

The idea is simple:

Learn in the morning. Put it into practice on the course. Relax in Mauritius afterwards.

And if your partner doesn’t play golf?

Bring them anyway.

Because while this is a serious golf experience, it is also seven nights in Mauritius.

This Is More Than a Mauritius Golf Package

You can book a hotel.

You can book a tee time.

And you can certainly travel to Mauritius and organise your own rounds of golf.

But that isn’t what we’ve created.

The Mauritius Pro Golf Experience has been designed around the experience of travelling and playing as a group while having access to a professional golfer throughout the week.

Instead of simply arriving at a course and playing another round, your golf days begin with morning clinics with Sydney Wemba.

You then have the opportunity to take those lessons onto the course.

It creates a simple but valuable cycle:

Learn → Practise → Play → Review → Improve

Whether you want to improve your ball striking, become more confident around the greens, think more strategically on the course or simply enjoy playing alongside a professional golfer, the experience gives your Mauritius golf holiday another dimension.

And when the golf is finished for the day?

You’re in Mauritius.

What Could a Week of Golf with a Pro Do for Your Game?

Golfers know the feeling.

You hit the ball beautifully on the practice range.

Then you step onto the first tee and suddenly everything feels different.

That’s one reason we’ve deliberately combined golf clinics with actual time on the course.

During the Mauritius Pro Golf Experience, Sydney Wemba will host morning golf clinics for participants before golfers take what they’ve been working on into their rounds.

Rather than treating coaching and playing as two completely separate activities, the programme creates an opportunity to work on your game and then experience how those changes translate under real playing conditions.

Sydney brings professional tournament experience to the trip, having competed on the Sunshine Tour and in professional tournaments across Southern Africa.

For participants, however, this isn’t about watching a professional golfer from behind the ropes.

It’s about travelling with one.

Ask questions.

Watch how a professional approaches different situations.

Work on your own game.

Then stand on the tee and try it yourself.

That is what makes this golf holiday different.

Play Île aux Cerfs Golf Club: Golf on an Island

Ile aux Cerfs Golf

There are beautiful golf courses.

And then there are golf courses where simply getting to the first tee becomes part of the experience.

Île aux Cerfs Golf Club is one of them.

Located on its own island off the east coast of Mauritius, the course is reached by a dedicated golf boat shuttle.

Designed by two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer, the championship course stretches across approximately 38 hectares of Île aux Cerfs, weaving through tropical vegetation, volcanic rock, lakes and natural undulations.

Ocean views feature throughout the course, creating the kind of setting that makes you occasionally forget about your scorecard.

Don’t.

The golf still demands your attention.

Different tee positions make the course playable for recreational golfers while still providing a serious challenge for more accomplished players.

It is exactly the sort of course many golfers travel thousands of kilometres to experience at least once.

And during our Mauritius Pro Golf Experience, your green fees and boat transfer to Île aux Cerfs are included in the package.

This isn’t simply another round of golf.

It’s one of the signature experiences of the trip.

Experience Championship Golf at Anahita

Anahita Golf Course hole 17

A short distance away is another very different Mauritius golf experience.

Anahita Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Ernie Els.

Set between the mountains and the Indian Ocean, the course combines broad fairways with strategically placed challenges and several spectacular oceanfront holes.

The course measures up to approximately 6,828 metres and offers multiple sets of tees, allowing golfers of different abilities to experience the layout appropriately.

Where Île aux Cerfs delivers the drama of playing golf on an island, Anahita delivers the scale and character of a modern championship course.

Together, they give participants two distinctly different golfing experiences during one Mauritius holiday.

For golfers travelling all the way from Zambia and the surrounding region, that’s exactly what we wanted from this trip.

Not just more golf.

Memorable golf.

Your Home for the Week: Long Beach Mauritius

Long Beach Aerial View

After golf, you’ll return to Long Beach Mauritius, a contemporary 5-star resort on Mauritius’ famous east coast.

Situated at Belle Mare and overlooking the Indian Ocean, Long Beach combines the atmosphere of a Mauritius beach holiday with convenient access to the golf experiences forming part of the trip.

Participants will stay for seven nights on Half Board, meaning breakfast and dinner are included throughout the stay.

And this is where the trip becomes much more than golf.

Long Beach offers a beachfront setting, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, spa experiences, water activities and plenty of space to simply do absolutely nothing.

Which, after a day on the golf course, can sometimes be exactly what you need.

Your morning might start with breakfast before meeting Sydney for golf.

Your afternoon could be spent negotiating fairways, bunkers and greens.

And your evening?

Back at Long Beach.

Shower.

Dinner.

A drink.

Discuss the day’s golf.

Then wake up and do it again.

Your Partner Doesn’t Play Golf? Bring Them Anyway.

Sunrise Kayak at Long Beach

This is something we want to make very clear:

You do not have to travel alone simply because your partner doesn’t play golf.

In fact, Mauritius is almost perfect for this kind of holiday.

While you’re working on your game or playing a round, your partner can enjoy the resort, beach, pools, spa or simply spend the day relaxing.

Long Beach also offers dedicated facilities and activities for families, including children’s and teenagers’ programmes.

And once golf is finished, you’re back together for the evening.

So instead of choosing between: a golf trip or a holiday with your partner you can have both.

For couples where only one person plays golf, this may be one of the best reasons to join us.

Golf for you. Mauritius for both of you.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Long beach Junior Suite

We don’t want this trip to feel like a military golf camp.

You’re coming to Mauritius to enjoy yourself.

A typical scheduled golf day will look something like this:

Morning: Wake up at Long Beach and enjoy breakfast at the resort.

Golf Clinic: Transfer with the group to the day’s scheduled golf course. Meet Sydney Wemba for the morning golf clinic. The sessions provide an opportunity to work on different aspects of your game and prepare for the golf ahead. Depending on the final programme, you’ll be playing at either Île aux Cerfs Golf Club or Anahita Golf Club.

Take Your Game to the Course: This is where the morning’s work becomes practical. Play, enjoy the course and put what you’ve learned into practice.

Return to Long Beach: After golf, transfer back to the resort. The rest of the day is yours.

Evening: Dinner is included at Long Beach. Relax, spend time with your partner or fellow golfers and get ready to do it all again.

And Yes, There Is Time to Simply Enjoy Mauritius

Long Beach Spa

We’ve deliberately included a break in the scheduled golf programme.

After several consecutive golf days, Thursday, 26 November is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Sleep in.

Spend the day on the beach.

Book a spa treatment.

Explore Mauritius.

Enjoy the resort with your partner.

Or do as little as possible.

Then it’s back to golf on Friday.

A good golf holiday needs balance.

This one has it.

Why November Is a Great Time for Golf in Mauritius

Ile Aux Cerfs Golf

November falls as Mauritius transitions into its warmer summer period.

Long-term climate data for the east of Mauritius shows average November daytime maximum temperatures around 27°C, with approximately seven hours of sunshine per day.

For travellers escaping Southern Africa’s routine and looking for a combination of golf, warm weather and an Indian Ocean holiday, it makes November an attractive time to visit.

And because this experience runs from 22 to 29 November 2026, you’ll be back home before the December festive rush really begins.

Who Should Join This Mauritius Golf Trip?

Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course

You don’t need to be a professional golfer.

That’s Sydney’s job.

This experience could be particularly suited to:

Golfers Who Want to Improve

If you’ve reached the point where you’re playing regularly but know there is more potential in your game, having structured clinics followed by course time could be particularly valuable.

Experienced Golfers

Perhaps you don’t need basic instruction.

That’s fine.

Come for the golf, the company and the opportunity to experience two outstanding Mauritius courses.

Mid and Higher-Handicap Golfers

Don’t be intimidated by travelling with a professional golfer.

The purpose of the clinics is to help golfers improve—not to judge their scorecards.

Golfing Couples

If you both play, even better.

You’ve just found your November holiday.

Golfers with Non-Golfing Partners

Play your golf while your partner enjoys Mauritius.

Then enjoy the resort and evenings together.

Friends and Golf Groups

If you’ve been talking about taking an international golf trip “one day”, perhaps one day should be 22 November 2026.

Why Book Your Mauritius Golf Holiday with Island Golf Escapes?

Island Golf Escapes Logo

A Mauritius golf holiday involves more than choosing a hotel and booking a tee time.

There are golf transfers to coordinate.

  • Tee times.
  • Course access.
  • Boat transfers.
  • Accommodation.
  • Airport transfers.
  • Different golf policies.
  • And then there is the question of what your non-golfing partner does while you’re playing.

Island Golf Escapes specialises in Mauritius golf travel.

We work directly with our partners in Mauritius to bring the different elements together into one coordinated experience.

For this particular departure, we’ve gone one step further by creating a hosted golf programme with Sydney Wemba.

That means you aren’t simply buying accommodation and green fees.

You’re joining a group.

You’re travelling for a specific experience.

And you’ll have Island Golf Escapes coordinating the Mauritius arrangements behind it.

For travellers booking a specialist golf holiday—particularly for the first time—that support matters.
